BOUNDARY SURVEYS

Boundary surveys are especially useful for property owners who want to define clearly the existing limits of a piece of real estate. These documents can help identify any potential encroachments from one property to another prior to the construction of new fences, paving expansions, or building additions. Maier Land Surveying recovers the boundary information from extensive courthouse documentation before recreating this property outline in a physical form that is more easily understandable.

TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS

These types of land surveys document all existing structures and natural features that lie above ground. Topographic Surveys usually take place during the pre-development phase of a new construction project. They can help identify the surface drainage patterns of the property, assist in the determination of specific design improvements, and aid in defining precise locations of future structures.

AS-BUILT SURVEYS

Once a new construction project is complete, an As-built Survey is usually the next step. As-built surveys help to determine if these unexpected improvements are in compliance with the specifications of the related legal authorities necessary to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. They also provide a multitude of other uses to the property owner once the building becomes operational.

Aerial Mapping & Photo Control

Professional aerial mapping is a very effective way for getting large-scale development projects into their initial stages of design. Maier Land Surveying will measure identifiable control points or perhaps painted targets that are easily photographed from an aerial viewpoint. The aerial images are then broken down into an easy-to-understand ground coordinate system that is useful during the concept planning stages.
